Indatwa Cricket Foundation

Indatwa, meaning 'legend', was conceived in October 2017, following a volunteering trip which two ex girls of the Hampshire Women's XI made with Cricket Without Boundaries. Through the strong friendships made with players in Rwanda, a partnership between Cricket Without Boundaries Rwanda and women and girls in Hampshire was made.

The vision is to strengthen and grow the partnership between Hampshire Indatwa and young female cricketers in Hampshire, under the auspices of Cricket Without Boundaries, with the aim of “empowering girls with life skills through cricket.”

It's a huge privilege to have this cross-continent link with young female cricketers in Rwanda and the partnership of the stakeholder organisations, through the Indatwa Cricket Foundation, will benefit girls in both countries for years to come.

"This partnership will benefit the game of cricket, bringing the best out of the Ndera girls’ community on and off the cricket field by increasing playing, officiating and coaching opportunities regardless of age and capacity."

Landry Rurangwa, Rwanda Cricket Association

It's a hugely positive and exciting collaboration which benefits communities and changes the lives of young women in Rwanda and Hampshire.
